All of us are fighting battles we don’t speak about. When I invite the Lord into our trials, He confronts us with a question.

Do I want comfort or escape from the trial?

In honesty, I have to search my heart’s motive and ask. Lord, sometimes my actions say I want peace. But your Word teaches there is opportunity in trouble.

Romans 5:3-5 New Living Translation (NLT) We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment.

James 1:2-4 NLT[2] Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. [3] For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. [4]

Let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing. Come as you are and you will never stay the same. Jesus changes everything. In the body of Christ, you’ll find a faithful family who want you to succeed. It’s a safe place to learn to crawl, sit, stand, and walk, but not to stay stuck.

Prayer: Lord, we invite you in to transform our brokenness and we’re all broken. Lord, your Grace is the same resurrection power that rose Jesus from the grave. Lord, I want the opportunities to produce a change in me 💓 confidence in you 🙌💓
