Friendship with you. (9/29/2024) by Penny C.

“Friendship with You, Lord, like the rain,
A refreshing source that satisfies again.
In morning’s dew, Your presence found,
Breathing life, in silence profound.

If known as nothing else, You are the breath in our lungs,
In every moment, conquering death.
You’ve given us minds to dream and create,
To overcome, to choose you, the way, truth and Life.

Do you hear it? Can you feel freedom’s song?
In You, we’ve overcome, where we belong.
No more shame, no chains to bind,
No guilt, for in You, freedom we find.

Sweet surrender, the lilies adorned,
In perfect grace, we are reborn.
Why worry for what clothes may bring,
When You, Creator, provide everything?

Change your mind, leave fear behind,
No need to pretend, in You, we find—
A place to sit, to crawl, to run,
To walk this journey with the Son.

Together we’ll run, together we strive,
In Your light, fully alive.
Take courage, there’s always more,
A calling deeper, an open door.

In mercy, in kindness, we stand in Your sight,
The giver of life, the bearer of light.
Awake, O soul, to the goodness of God.”

Thank you Jesus for this encouragement. I pray it blesses someone.

Hugs, Penny C.
