I believe it’s important to ask ourselves what overpowering thoughts we’ve been experiencing lately.
For me, it’s realizing that being intimate with God means letting go of my need to always be right and being open to the changes in life. I need to be mindful of negative thoughts creeping in, such as control, grumbling, or complaining, which often stem from comparison or a sense of lack.
Have you left any doors open? Are you dwelling on condemnation or what you need to improve?
Maybe you’ve been waiting for instant change and spiritual maturity, comparing yourself to others. That’s the door of comparison.I want to emphasize shifting our focus towards God’s acceptance. In Christ Jesus, we are fully accepted. There will never be a time when you are more worthy or accepted than now. He has reconciled us to Father God. We are daughters and sons of God, fully accepted. What’s even more profound is that Christ made us a part of His body and chooses to use His body, us, to facilitate healing, growth, encouragement, help, deliverance, and the ministry of fellowship.
Today, let’s choose to be aware of the right things. God’s got this, and so do you.
God Bless, Penny C.
