I’m excited to share a brief update and a word of encouragement about the community-driven support for a single mom that I started yesterday.

Let’s Rally!

When we come together with understanding and compassion, real synergy happens. We tend to rally as a people, as a community. Many people recognize how hard these seasons can be, especially for single moms, and the response on the first day of this campaign affirmed that truth.

I remember how the 9/11 attacks brought my coworkers together. People who had never prayed before stood shoulder to shoulder in silence or prayer, seeking comfort and strength. Tragedy has a way of waking something in us—a call to help, to connect, and to make a difference. These moments show us how challenges can lead to growth and not just individually but as a community. When we face the inexplicable, it often reveals our deeper need for God’s presence and power. Adversity doesn’t just test us; it refines us. It’s an opportunity to rise above, to lean on God, and to grow into the people He created us to be.

An anonymous donor reached out and generously offered to cover the insurance cost. That alone lifted a significant burden.

So far, $220 has been raised through GoFundMe, with the possibility of an additional several hundred in commitments still in progress. Every step forward matters.

My friend Cynthia is also making steady progress in building structure and support for the future. She’s working towards completing Bachelor of Science

Online Healthcare Administration Degree at Western Governors University (WGU). She’s also focused on behavioral counseling, respite care, martial arts, and medication support for her children. All of this working together toward stability and growth.

As we head into a new year, the goal is not perfection, but healthy habits and a strong foundation. Thank you to everyone who has supported, shared, and encouraged this effort. It truly makes a difference.
