Someone in your life needs what God has put in you. Yes our purpose is found in Christ Jesus but there is so much we need to unpack to understand what’s inside.
Yesterday, I spoke with several people to consider, meditate and think about creating their own personal mission statement.
I really enjoyed this assignment. This ties in perfectly to my own passion and purpose.
I love people, I love encouraging people, and finding their unique gifts and talents. I love learning and sharing what I am learning. I love how God always partners me with visionaries and all kinds of gifted, talented, and people who walk powerfully in their callings. He yokes me with the leaders, the wise, the generous, and the influencers. You might be wondering how that helps me understand my calling. Well I also know a few things about gifts He’s deposited in me. I am what you call a relator. Which means I am a builder and a strengthener.
Relator is a theme in the Relationship Building domain of CliftonStrengths. People with dominant Relationship Building themes like “Relator” build strong relationships that hold a team together and make it greater than the sum of its parts.
I know that the Lord highlights people who I need to build up, those I need to bring together and strengthen or stretch. I know He’s given me a gift to lead a team and get them to collaborate and show up and out.
This gift also helps me to see connections and patterns and speak into these with wisdom and insight as God leads whether it’s with my friends, family, peers or to leaders and visionaries. I don’t know how, but this is how He works in my life and through me.
So my challenge to you is: First, start with understanding yourself. Begin with knowing Who God already says you are in Him. Then, God will begin to shed light on who you are and how you relate to Him and others and what God has innately placed in you and gifted you with. Finally, choose to recognize the gifts God has put in you are not for you but for others so don’t hoard what you can’t keep.
The outcome of trust and believing God is you will start moving in your giftings you won’t be able to contain what God wants to multiply in you, through you on to others for His glory. Yay, God’s into math. He very much likes multiplication.
I want to close with my heart’s desire, my joy, and my mission, which is:
“I love helping others to discover and pursue their purpose!” Stephanie Calderone (Also known as Penny C.)
Simply put, I love advocating for others and helping them help themselves. It brings me joy. It is my purpose. I live it out professionally, personally, and in ministry.
There is just one caveat.
The person has to also be a yes.
I’m on a mission to help others shine. Let’s do this, we can do all things in Christ Jesus who gives us strength.ππβοΈ
