Never underestimate the power of love (especially the love of a godly mom)!

I feel like sometimes we lose our balance when some of the promises and plans we hoped for fall short or seem to end too soon. We want to conquer the big things, yet often overlook the small things that carry eternal value and truly bring life.

Walking alongside my momma, growing in faith, and learning to trust God through it all was one of the greatest gifts of my life. In the end, love truly is the greatest gift of all.

My memory of Momma’s fight can be summarized as a desire to live by leaning on God’s strength. We already have the victory in Christ Jesus! Right, Momma?🙌

Mother’s Day Dedication in loving memory of my beloved mom, Dee Dee, who slipped into the arms of the Lord in July 2022. Her love, faith, strength, and kindness continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched. Though deeply missed, her legacy reminds us that love never ends and God’s promises remain faithful through every season. I wanted to share her blog and her dedication to encouraging others to get tested for colon cancer before it’s too late. She’s definitely missed and will never be forgotten.

This Mother’s Day, we honor her beautiful life and celebrate the gift she was to so many by sharing her blog, which Momma and I did together as a labor of love.

“Her children arise and call her blessed.” — Proverbs 31:28

I believe that Mom is fully alive, even though she is not physically with us now. We know that she will physically rise again when we hear that trumpet sound. This truth is more powerful than the weapons of chronic health conditions that formed against her. The sickness, pain, and aftermath of the treatment were from the pit of hell, but she overcame them by the blood of the Lamb, the words of our testimonies, and loving the Lord more than the temporary physical life. Her strength, rooted in Christ, was motivated by her desire to raise her children and to serve in her community.
